Follow-Up
Follow-up consultation is important to solidify the strategies we discuss in our session. These complement any program or service including sports nutrition, custom meal planning, weight management, and Individual counseling.
Follow-up sessions are best scheduled within 2 to 3 weeks after our initial session to maintain motivation for change and to address any challenges you may have getting started.
Omega-3 Index Testing
Achieving an optimal omega-3 index has been shown to:
-
improve cognitive function and brain health
-
support heart health
-
delay onset of muscle soreness and promote muscle recovery
-
enhance immunity
Anyone who has suffered concussion or traumatic brain injury (TBI) OR who participates in a sport or occupation with high risk for concussion should test their omega-3 index level and seek nutrition guidance.
Omega-3 index should be tested at least every 6 months once desired levels are achieved.
In-person test kits available and online ordering for non-local clients.

Weight Management
Weight management is for anyone who wants to lose, maintain, or gain weight. For athletes, weight management and body recomposition should be done during off season to minimize risk of injury and promote optimum sports performance.

Vitamin D Testing
Vitamin D is necessary for all athletes and individuals for bone health, muscle growth, immunity, and injury recovery.
Most individuals are deficient in vitamin D and dosing needs can only be made with current vitamin D level testing.
Tailored recommendations will be made based on blood results.
Vitamin D should be tested at least every 6 months once a healthy level is achieved.
In-person test kits available and online ordering for non-local clients.

Grocery Tour
Having a nutrition plan is helpful, but the grocery store can be intimidating if you are not sure what to shop for or if you get overwhelmed by the array of product marketing.
Grocery tours are offered locally at
H-E-B in Brenham.
Athlete cafeteria tours are available as well helping the athlete choose foods to fuel their sport and season.
Athlete Blood Test
Athlete Blood Test offers tailored, athlete-focused biomarker testing to help you dial in nutrition, recovery, training, and performance.
Population-based reference ranges do not support training demands of active individuals. ABT evaluates for performance specific to active individuals to enhance athletic performance and promote health.
Medical blood tests provided by your doctor or primary healthcare professional identify health-related problems for the general population to prevent, treat, and diagnose disease.
